Mission becomes strategic when it helps an organization make choices.
The idea
A mission displayed is language. A mission used is governance.
Mission in Use treats identity as a practical filter for consequential decisions, especially when adaptation creates tension.
- Does this choice support who we are?
- Does it move us toward the future we intend?
- What does the tension reveal?
- What capacity or boundary does the choice require?
The objective is not to eliminate uncertainty. It is to make judgment more coherent and shared.
